About Me

Hello, I am Nipuna Basnayaka, I live in Rangala, a small village situated right by Knuckles mountain range. I grew up in the area and learned to love and admire its unique beauty, wildlife and nature. During the last 9 years I am working as a professional tour guide specializing in the Knuckles range treks.

I love to introduce people from all countries to the culture and nature of Sri Lanka, and will love to assist anyone with organizing tours in the beautiful hill country.

HILL OYA TREK

The Hill Oya trek goes through beautiful rice terraces where you can see the local farmers working. There is a great variety of birds, flowers, plants and trees along the way as the scenery changes from rice terraces, to forest, ending in tea plantations . This is a beautiful trek that can be enjoyed by all.

KNUCKLES MOUNTAINS TREK

The Knuckles Range is an UNESCO world heritage site a beautiful unspoiled area that has everything from tea estates, rice terasseces to jungle. There is an abundance of birds, flowers and amazing views, definitely worth a visit for all nature lovers. We offer several treks in the area with varied levels of difficulty.

SORA BORA LAKE TREK

This trek goes to Mahiyanganaya, Sorabora Lake, a beautiful area at a large lake. Here you can go fishing, birdwatching, walking, swimming and enjoy the amazing nature.
